Installed DD-WRT v24-sp2 (05/27/13) std - build 21676, and it has been working fine. The DD-WRT firmware is amazing. You got a lot more functionality from it. Like blocking kids computers and remote access controller. The built-in firewall is decent too. I've tried close to 10 different version, from mid November 18 to end of January 19, for my TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND v4 and every single one bricks it :( ttftp to bring it back to life I've noticed there is a v5 directory now as well :(

I ordered the TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND (in case this gets merged with other similar products) and i was sent a v2.1 hardware spec. This was March 2016.
