can i connect 2 routers together wirelessly. one of them needs to receive the connection then connect wirelessly to the other over about 40m. this second router then connects to my wired and wireless network. would i need any extra hardware to make this work, such as a router with 2 antennas

Re: Connecting two wireless routers together For the inexperienced, the golden rule is one network, one router - anytime you have two routers and you can make them do what you want, chalk it up to inexperience, and get rid of one.
Jul 23, 2010 · On one router (router 1), don't enable wireless. On the other one (router 2) do so and configure it. Plug wired clients in to router 1. Wireless clients will connect to router 2. With this type of scenario, there's no need to connect the two routers since they'll be accessing the internet separately as compared to sharing a single internet
