By default, Google Chrome analyzes your computer and network’s proxy settings before opening any website on the Internet. However, it doesn’t work with some of the ISPs and hence your browser either takes a lot of time to open the website or doesn’t open at all. My Google Chrome Proxy Server is Not Working I've recently been doing some research on my IP address and my proxy server after I found out that someone had been using my IP address for illegal things. I've been having issues with the proxy setting on both chrome and interent explorer. I've googled for help, tried every tip I've found, but nothing has helped. Basically, when I go in to settings on chrome and go into the proxy settings, the settings never stay the way I need them to. Please help. Ps I don't really know what I'm doing. This means all your network activities will be routed through proxy server. If you do not want to do this, choose Mozilla Firefox to configure at browser level.
